Four Phantom Stems by Mindless Machines Audio lab

"Four Phantom Stems"

Original performance: 02/01/2013
Re-release: 02/15/2019

The ball was rolling and we were excited to see what would come next. Four Phantom Stems is our fourth recorded session and it should be fitting that we added a fourth performer to the mix. Faulty cables had been dealt with and a better physical arrangement was utilized to create what turned out to be a better-quality recording of a rather fun Audio Lab session. While still a bit rough around the edges, we were having fun and becoming more cohesive with every session.

Lush Fields Of Pillows by Mindless Machines Audio Lab

"Lush Fields Of Pillows"

Original performance: 01/19/2013
Re-release: 02/09/2019

This was our second official attempt at turning our spontaneous electronic jam sessions into a regular improv gig. Sadly, we had many issues on the master due to shorted cables and funny wiring so mind the clips and clicks and artifacts. The original recording was one long track, but now it is split into distinct musical movements making it much easier to jump into the action or return to a favorite part. Grab a copy right now!

Stock Up For The Apocalypse by Mindless Machines Audio Lab

Stock Up For The Apocalypse is the first official Mindless Machines Audio Lab session. Recorded in secret while a handful of musicians from Lincoln, Nebraska performed an hour-long improvised music session. This is the session that started it all.

Bobbie Boob featured on KZUMs Other Music program

Jim Brodhagen and Jason Zulkoski of Bobbie Boob performing at KZUM 89.3 FM Other Music program

Bobbie Boob was recently featured on Lincoln's own KZUM 89.3 FM on the Other Music program. Following this performance, DJ Scott Scholz wrote up a fantastic review of the show.

The overall vibe helps to pull listeners in, too. While some of their influences tend to create abrasive or gloomy musical spaces, Bobbie Boob embraces humor and fun. Iā€™m guessing that most of the BB discography is intended to be creatively playful, displaying a warm kind of intelligence that can handle a good laugh or two.
